Thank you for being willing to help! Below are short descriptions of all the different volunteer roles for Sunday School Volunteers! 

Teacher - Prepping provided curriculum ahead of time, leading the class in lessons & activities. Typically an every other week schedule with one other teacher per grade/class. 

Helper- Supports teacher in any way they need. Crowd control, gathering supplies, bringing kids to bathrooms, etc. No prep, typically an every other week schedule with one or two other helpers per grade/class.

Safety Squad - Helps keep kids safe! Makes sure kids aren't leaving Ed Wing without parent/guardian/older siblings, keeps an eye on entries/doors during Sunday School hour, greets families as they come to Ed Wing, gives directions to classrooms if needed, etc. Typically a once a month schedule (could be more often if wanted)

Substitute - Willing to step in as a teacher or helper when regularly scheduled volunteers aren't able to be there. Often these are planned out in advance, occasionally last minute but always up to you if you're able/willing to help on a certain morning. If you'd like to sub just as a helper or just as a teacher, please note that in the final question of the form!

Nursery - Supervise nursery, typically there will be at least one adult in there and often there will be one or two youth helping as well. Nursery is open during the Sunday School hour AND 11:00 service. If you're willing to help in nursery, please note in the last question of this form if you're willing to be here for both Sunday School hour & 11:00 service, or just one! Typically a once a month schedule!

(i.e.- Teacher, Shepherd, Safety Squad, Nursery, all)

Typically, we ask our teachers and helpers to be on the schedule every other week/twice a month. We know this is a time commitment, but it is so helpful for our kiddos to make connections with the teachers and helpers in their class and build strong relationships. That being said, it is possible be on a once a month schedule if needed/preferred.

A Few Notes:
- We know that there are a number of our volunteers who sign up with another volunteer and want to be in the same class/on the same schedule. If that's you, please note in the questions/comments space below who you'd like to be paired up with.
